Applied Kinesiology/Muscle Resistance Testing
Applied kinesiology (AK), also known as muscle resistance testing, is one form of diagnosis used at LaTorre Wellness Center that examines how well a person's body is functioning. The diagnosis determines the best combination of therapies for the patient. Since AK draws together the core elements of many complementary therapies, it provides an interdisciplinary approach to health care to evaluate a patient's structural, chemical and mental health status. Many AK practitioners find that AK is a versatile tool for detecting and correcting various imbalances in the body which may relate to stress, nutrition, learning problems, injuries and more.
Allergy/Sensitivity Therapies
At LaTorre Wellness Center, we combine the principles of Chiropractic, acupuncture and applied kinesiology (also known as muscle response testing), with the cold laser, along with the energy responses from your body to particular allergens, not only to determine what you are allergic or sensitive to, but also how best to treat you. Called A/SERT (Allergy/Sensitivity Elimination and Reprogramming Technique), this therapy is simple, drug-free, non-invasive and extremely effective for the many physicians, nurses, acupuncturists, Chiropractors who have used it with great success to help their patients. Using A/SERT, we at LaTorre Wellness Center have dramatically improved, and in some cases, totally eliminated allergies and sensitivities for most of our patients who have come to us for long overdue relief, after having suffered for years.
Nutritional & Supplemental Therapies

Detoxification Process
Great for reducing or eliminating toxins in the body, the detoxifying foot bath used at LaTorre Wellness Center supports healing for chronic illness and speeds recovery from acute illness. Some patients that have come to us with pain and inflammation have reported immediate relief. Others with arthritis, allergies, gout, lymphedema, headaches, and other symptoms have experienced relief and benefits with multiple treatments. Some have experienced fatigue during the foot bath as the body's detoxification process progresses, but passes quickly as the body expels the toxins and regenerates itself. Here's how it works. As the patient sits with their feet soaking in a warm foot bath for approximately 20 minutes, a copper coil placed into the water creates a bioenergetic exchange that painlessly draws the toxins from the body using ion exchange. After treatment is completed, patients will see a dramatic change in the color and consistency of the water in which their feet have been soaking -- a result of the detoxification process. Patients who are pregnant or nursing, have a pacemaker, transplanted organ, arrhythmia, or are taking heart-regulating medication may not be candidates for the detoxifying foot bath. We recommend to patients who are diabetic or have low blood sugar, to eat a meal prior to treatment. Through a regular detoxification program, patients can maintain a general feeling of wellbeing and overall health.

Hair Analysis
Chemicals and minerals are deposited permanently within each hair shaft, and thus, our hair is a reflection of all the chemicals and minerals in our bodies. Hair analysis is a very accurate, painless and simple way to determine concentrations of non-toxic and toxic elements in our internal organs. A hair sample is taken usually from the nape of your neck, then analyzed. The information is useful in determining the cause of problems, and the best course of action for restoring health and wellness.
